Effective October 27, 2026. This policy explains how Quality Estimates, Inc. ("QE", "we") collects, uses and shares personal information on our website and in QE Dispatch, our claims portal, including the private photo links we text to vehicle owners.
To perform appraisal and claims services: dispatching and tracking assignments, inspecting and estimating vehicle damage, preparing reports and invoices, paying appraisers, answering messages, and sending claim-related notices by email and text. We also use applicant information to evaluate applicants, and technical information to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
We send text messages only about a claim you are part of, such as a link to submit photos, claim status updates, inspection times, or replies to your messages, and for appraisers, assignment alerts they opt into. Your mobile number is provided by you or by the insurance company or adjuster handling the claim. Message frequency varies by claim. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or text opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Claim information is available only to QE staff, the appraiser assigned to the claim, and the insurance company or administrator that owns the claim. We use service providers that process information for us only to perform their service: hosting (Render), email (Google Workspace), text messaging (Twilio), accounting and invoicing (Intuit QuickBooks Online), and an AI service (Anthropic) that reads documents and drafts text for our staff. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
Our website uses one cookie, to keep portal users signed in. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we don't track visitors across websites, our site does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
We keep claim records for as long as needed for the claim and for our business, legal and regulatory obligations. Applicant information is kept while it is useful for hiring. Access to the portal requires individual accounts, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and data is backed up regularly.
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

When we change this policy we post the new version here with a new effective date.
